T. Kevin Wilson was born and raised in Lexington, Kentucky. In 1991, he graduated from the University of Kentucky with a B.A. in Legal Studies. By 1994, he achieved his juris doctor, with cum laude honors, from Syracuse University College of Law. Mr. Wilson went on to pass the Virginia State Bar Exam in Richmond, Virginia in 1995 and then relocated to Manassas, Virginia where he began his career as a Virginia Defense Attorney. Quickly realizing his passion, Mr. Wilson established The Wilson Law Firm, a criminal defense firm with a particular focus on DUI offenses. T. Kevin Wilson is a highly experienced and extensively educated attorney with a personal history as an instructor for Criminal Justice Training Academy, elite membership to the National College for DUI Defense, and formal training and certifications on Field Sobriety Tests and breath machines.

For more than eleven years, while also building his law practice, Mr. Wilson served as a part-time instructor for the Criminal Justice Training Academy in Prince William County. During this time he taught Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure, Constitutional Law and Evidence to law enforcement recruits with the Prince William County Police Department, the Prince William County Sheriff’s Department, the United States Marine Corps, as well as a few other local agencies and departments. This responsibility awarded Mr. Wilson much respect from officers and prosecutors alike. So much so, he was even asked to serve as a Special Prosecutor by the Office of the Commonwealth’s Attorney.

The National College for DUI Defense (NCDD) is an organization exclusive to attorneys who devote themselves to the defense of driving under the influence by attending annual conferences and seminars that discuss the many complex and subtle issues encountered in the field. This membership requires substantial commit in finances and time. Mr. Wilson takes pride in his NCDD membership as it enables him to remain on the cutting edge of impaired driving defense. He frequently attends the national conferences and seminars where he engages in discussions and activities with attorneys from across the country.

Recognizing that the Field Sobriety Tests and the breath machines often prove to be crucial evidence in a driving under the influence case, Mr .Wilson has sought out and completed training and certification courses on each. He is certified, just as the officers are, by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) on Standardized Field Sobriety Testing through the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) Practitioner Course. He is also trained as an Operator on the Intoximeter ECIR II breath machine and the Intoxilyzer 5000, S-D2, S-D5, 400 and 8000 breath testing machines.
